Most challenges currently offered by the School of Innovation are organized in the framework of the ECIU University, where challenge providers launch their innovation challenge to students of the partner universities, who work intensively to deliver meaningful solutions.

The challenge and focus of Schenk is to ensure that all the efforts and commitment to sustainability are communicated in a complete and exhaustive way, by conveying a very clear message about where the company is going to.

Design your future! Engaging Communities with Synthetic Biology through Games

26th October - 19 November 2022

Synthetic biology has the potential to bring about epochal changes in medicine, agriculture, industry, ethics. It is crucial to engage not just practitioners and politicians, but the whole society in the debate about how best to guide this research field in a safe and socially useful direction.

From Farm to Fork

November 15 to December 16, 2021

The grand topic of the challenge is distribution and delivery of local agricultural production to help small farmers and allow a healthy lifestyle for the population.

In the context of the “Design your future!” challenge, students were asked to invent an educational game for the MUSE Museum in Trento focusing on the mechanism, challenges, opportunities and risks of synthetic biology. Teams defined the target, the number of players, the game mode, the goal, the rules and a business model for their product and presented their projects in front of a jury.
