Introduction to main analytical frameworks in Innovation Studies
Introduction to main analytical frameworks in Innovation Studies
Course Objectives
The seminar aims to illustrate the evolution of Innovation Studies through the development of their main analytical frameworks (the linear model of innovation, systems of innovation, the Triple Helix). The birth, development and operative use of these frameworks in Innovation Studies, are explained by looking at how they work within the configurations of epistemic interests, research policy frameworks, institutional arrangements and modes of organizing R&D activities. The seminar, therefore, explores the evolution on Innovation Studies adopting a genealogical approach.
