The objective of this course is to improve participants’ ability to plan, embrace goal-oriented thinking, capacity to reach goals and rely on a team in goal achievement through participation in a Mastermind and application of Agile approach for self-management.
A Mastermind (where mastermind stays for “outstanding mind”) is a group of people united by something in common: an idea, work, worldview, and so on. Nowadays it is widely used by startups’ leaders, businessmen, managers, and others to gain some new knowledge, solve a problem, just look at the situation from a different angle – to rely on the power of collective wisdom.
The essence of the method is simple – several people hold periodic meetings. During the meetings, each member of the group can ask a question, and others will answer them. Also, all participants can discuss some ideas, share thoughts, talk about their experiences.
Agile approach to self-management is based on setting goals for short periods of time, the so-called sprints. During the sprint participants will meet in a Mastermind on a weekly basis to set their goals, publicly commit to them, report on weekly goals achievement, reflect on the efficiency and effectiveness of their path towards the goals, and to exchange experience.
