Mario Fedrizzi

Mario Fedrizzi, Professor Emeritus, has been working (1986-2016) as full professor of Mathematical Methods for Economics at University of Trento, Italy. He served as a dean of the Faculty of Economics, as deputy rector, and as deputy head of the Department of Industrial Engineering. Appointed as adjunct professor at Åbo Akademi University (FIN), and visiting professor at Lappeenranta University of Technology (FIN). Presently, member of the international advisory board of KEDRI, Auckland University of Technology (NZ) and of the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences (PL). His research activities have been focused on utility and risk theory, group decision making, fuzzy decision analysis, consensus modeling in group decisions and decision support systems. He has published, among the others, on European Journal of Operational Research, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Decision Support Systems, Mathematical Social Sciences, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Information Fusion, Expert Systems with Applications, Information Sciences. Member of the editorial board of the following journals: Control and Cybernetics, Group Decision and Negotiation, International Journal of General Systems, International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing. He was also involved in consulting activities in the areas of management information systems, quality control, project management, and e-learning. From 1995 to 2006 he was appointed as chairman of a regional bank and of a real estate company, and as a member of the board of directors of one of the largest European banking groups.
